First, congratulate yourself for making the decision to join us. Choosing to move your body and commit to a regular practice can truly change your life in the most positive ways.
It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous or unsure before your first class. Most people do. Don’t let that stop you. Our classes are designed to be beginner-friendly, and as long as you relax and allow the instructors to guide you, you’ll feel supported and successful from day one.
About the Heat
Exercising in a room heated to 90–105°F can sound intimidating, but your body adapts quickly. The heat warms your muscles so they can stretch safely, improves circulation, and helps deliver oxygen and nutrients throughout your body—leaving you feeling stronger, lighter, and more energized.
How to Prepare
Hydrate well — the water you drink today benefits you tomorrow. Come prepared to sweat. Staying hydrated makes the heat feel comfortable, not overwhelming. Coffee and alcohol are dehydrating; electrolytes or coconut water work best.
Come on an empty stomach — practicing with food in your stomach will be uncomfortable.
Dress for the heat — wear light, breathable clothing. Avoid long sleeves, long pants, and cotton. Dress as if you’re heading to the beach on a warm summer day (yes, even in winter).
